Genetic diversity of culturable bacteria in oil-contaminated rhizosphere of Galega orientalis.
A collection of 50 indigenous meta-toluate tolerating bacteria isolated from oil-contaminated rhizosphere of Galega orientalis on selective medium was characterized and identified by classical and molecular methods. 16S rDNA partial sequencing showed the presence of five major lineages of the Bacteria domain. Gram-positive Rhodococcus, Bacillus and Arthrobacter and gram-negative Pseudomonas wer...
متن کاملEffect of Polyamines on Oxygen and Metabolite Transport across Mitochondrial and Symbiotic Membranes of Galega Orientalis Nodules
The effect of various polyamines (PA) on O2 and succinate uptake by mitochondria, bacteroids and symbiosomes isolated from Galega orientalis nodules was investigated. Bacteroid respiration was characterized by a low endogenous rate of O2 uptake which was stimulated by addition of succinate. Maximum O2 uptake occurred when Galega bacteroids and symbiosomes were incubated with various PA at conce...
متن کاملSymbiotic and genetic diversity of Rhizobium galegae isolates collected from the Galega orientalis gene center in the Caucasus.
This paper explores the relationship between the genetic diversity of rhizobia and the morphological diversity of their plant hosts. Rhizobium galegae strains were isolated from nodules of wild Galega orientalis and Galega officinalis in the Caucasus, the center of origin for G. orientalis. All 101 isolates were characterized by genomic amplified fragment length polymorphism fingerprinting and ...
متن کاملAcetylated and non-acetylated flavonol triglycosides from Galega officinalis.
Three flavonol triglycosides kaempferol 3-[2Gal-(4-acetylrhamnosyl)robinobioside], kaempferol 3-(2Gal-rhamnosylrobinobioside) and quercetin 3-(2G-rhamnosylrutinoside) have been isolated from a methanolic extract of Galega officinalis aerial parts. They are reported for the first time in the genus Galega; moreover, the acetylated triglycoside is a new natural product.
متن کاملAcute toxicity of galega officinalis alcoholic extract in wistar rats
Galega officinalis (galega, Goat`s rue, French lilac) is a traditional plant from south east Europe. There are various reports about pharmacological properties of Galega officinalis such as diuretic, platelet aggregation, anti-bacterial, lactogen and anti-diabetic effect. There are a few studies about possible toxicological effect of this plant. In the present study, we evaluated the acute toxi...
